Teen Sewing & Fashion Design Classes

Designed for ages 12-18, our teen classes provide an immersive experience in sewing, fashion design, and pattern-making. Students start with foundational projects and progress to designing their own garments, learning advanced techniques such as draping, fabric manipulation, and professional finishing methods.

Class Details:

  • Duration: 90-minute weekly classes, 8-week sessions

  • Price: $360 per session ($45 per class); monthly billing available

  • Ages: 12-18 years

  • Supplies: All materials included (students may bring specialty fabrics)

Projects:

Teens will work on projects suited to their experience level, ranging from accessories and tops to more advanced garments like jackets or dresses. Beginners start with foundational projects before advancing to self-selected designs, allowing them to refine their skills and explore personal creativity.

The studio is stocked with a vast selection of high-quality fabrics, threads, and notions necessary for each project. However, if a student wishes to work with a specific fabric or material not available in the studio, they are welcome to bring their own.

  • One-time Registration Fee: New students pay an annual $75 supply fee for the school year.

Beginners follow a foundation learning course before transitioning to self-selected projects. While I provide guidance and a structured learning environment, project completion is ultimately up to each student. Their progress depends on their level of focus, effort, and how they choose to engage with their work. Our 6:1 student-to-teacher ratio ensures close mentorship and skill development.

Sewing Machines & Tools:

Teens work on bernette b38 sewing machines with safety features. Additional equipment, including sergers, dress forms, and drafting tools, are available for more advanced students.

Waitlist & Make-Ups:

If a class is full, email us to be added to the waitlist. One make-up class is allowed per session.
