Norfolk Collegiate School Sewing Class 3:30-4:30 PM, September 15- November 3
DESCRIPTION
Little Stitch Studio is joining Norfolk Collegiate School for a fashionably fun session of sewing classes!
Little Stitch Studio at Norfolk Collegiate School
Join Little Stitch Studio for a fun and creative sewing experience! This hands-on course introduces young designers to the world of fashion design, combining sewing, textiles and the elements of design.
Class Details:
Dates: September 15- November 3
Duration: 8 weeks, 1-hour classes
Price: $265 (includes all supplies)
Grades: 3-5
Instructor: Hilarie Wakefield Dayton, owner of Little Stitch Studio
What to Expect:
- Students will learn to use a sewing machine in a safe and supportive environment. Our bernette b38 machines feature finger guards and speed control for beginner-friendly sewing.
- Hands-on projects introduce sewing fundamentals, including threading, fabric cutting, and working with child-friendly patterns.
- Over the course of eight weeks, students will create 2-3 fashionable projects. The curriculum is intentionally sequenced: foundations first, then layered skills with each successive project. This approach builds true technical skill—along with some extra patience and focus that carry beyond the studio.
- Each child works at their own pace, fostering creativity and confidence.
Important Notes:
✂️ While most students complete their projects within the session, project progress depends on individual pace and focus during class.
If the class is full, email hilarie@littlestitchstudio.com to be added to the waitlist.
Please review cancellation, refund, make-up, and behavior policies before registering.
This class is exclusively for Norfolk Collegiate Lower School students in Grades 3-5.
