Kids Sewing Classes
Studio-based sewing education with design thinking built in.
One-hour weekly classes are offered throughout the school year, September through May. Students begin with a sequence of foundational projects that are fun, structured, and designed to build strong technique: accuracy, confident machine sewing, and clean finishing.
Beginners are welcome. Returning students continue building skills through new techniques and more complex construction, with increasing opportunities for independence and creative decision-making.
Students create a mix of wearable and functional projects while learning how fabric, construction, and design work together. Projects are selected to build skills progressively, so students develop confidence while learning to make thoughtful choices about what they create.
Along the way, students learn to work with focus, patience, problem-solving, and pride in what they make.

Each class follows a calm, consistent rhythm:
A short demonstration of the steps for the days project.
Guided work time with coaching and check-ins
A quick wrap-up: what we practiced + what’s next
Consistency matters as skills build best with regular attendance and steady practice.

Students work on bernette b38 sewing machines, which are beginner-friendly and include safety features such as finger guards and speed control.
Machine and tool safety practices are built into every class. We teach careful habits from day one; hand placement, speed control, focus, and safe tool use, so confidence and know-how grows alongside skill.

Registration + Enrollment
Little Stitch Studio classes are designed as an ongoing school-year program running from September through May. Enrollment reserves your student's place in their weekly class for the school year and continues automatically through May unless withdrawn according to the policy below.
Class sizes are intentionally limited to six students. Returning students receive priority enrollment, and new students are accepted as space becomes available.
An annual $75 registration and materials fee is due at enrollment and reserves your student's place for the school year. Monthly tuition is billed automatically from September through May at a fixed monthly rate. Tuition is based on the full school-year program rather than the number of individual class meetings in a particular month.
Withdrawal
We understand that schedules and circumstances can change during the school year. If your student needs to withdraw, please provide 30 days' written notice. Tuition payments scheduled within the 30-day notice period remain due. After the notice period, future recurring payments will be canceled.

Missed Classes + Make-Ups
Because classes are small and enrollment is limited, we cannot guarantee a make-up for every student absence. When space is available, students may be offered an appropriate make-up class during the school year.
Classes canceled by Little Stitch Studio due to weather, instructor illness, or other unforeseen circumstances will be rescheduled whenever reasonably possible. School-year tuition is calculated for the overall program and is not adjusted based on the number of class meetings in an individual month.
